At the Y, we believe all children deserve the chance to reach their fullest potential. That’s why all students in our after-school programs and Youth Chance High School are supported by quality role models and teachers. They are cared for, fed only healthy food, and given countless enrichment opportunities. The Embarcadero YMCA cares for more than 600 students each year, providing a safe place where children are able to learn, grow, and thrive.

The Embarcadero YMCA is committed to strengthening the foundations of our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Our programs for youth, families and adults are all focused on making an everyday impact in the lives of those who comes through our doors. 

Youth Chance High School

Everyday we are helping teens in our community take one step closer to a bright future. Youth Chance High School is a place for teens from all over the Bay Area to focus on education and earn their High School diploma in a safe, supportive environment.

Each day hundreds of youth and their families are supported by the Y through after school programming. The Y provides a safe place for children where they can learn, make friends and build confidence. Providing parents with the peace of mind that their children are safe and engaged throughout the workday.

Youth & Government

The hands on approach of our Youth & Government program provides positive opportunities and experiences for youth while teaching them the complexities of our state and local government. Participants strengthen their communities by becoming active and responsible contributors who are inspired to lead, and are empowered to create meaningful change.

Financial Assistance

We believe no one should be turned away due to cost, which is why we provide Financial Assistance for anyone in need. Financial Assistance is given for membership and programming, helping to ensure our community is happy, healthy and moving in the right direction.

Volunteer

Every year, our neighbors work together to raise funds that keep Y programs and initiatives going. Volunteers are the heart of our Y, and without their support, we wouldn't be able to serve as many, as wholly as we do today.
