In-Person Personal Training

Personal Training is the opportunity to work with a Certified Personal Trainer. You’ll receive expert guidance through coaching and instruction as your Personal Trainer works with you to build your own customized exercise routine. 

Personal Training is now available at Chinatown, Embarcadero, Marin, Peninsula, Presidio, Richmond, and Stonestown.

Once your information is received, someone will contact you within 3 business days to get you paired with a Trainer.  

Small Group Training

Small Group Training is an effective, fun, and affordable way to reach fitness goals, receive individualized attention, and participate in a community setting. Our Certified Personal Trainers lead these groups focusing on individual strengths, goals, and fitness levels.

Each series is limited participation, allowing members plenty of one-on-one time with their trainer, who will help tailor the program and exercises to their ability.

Virtual Personal Training

Let's Move!

Partner with one of our Certified Personal Trainers. You’ll receive expert guidance, coaching and exercise instruction as your Trainer works with you through two-way video to build a customized exercise routine for home. 

How It Works

  1. Fill out an intake form.
  2. Pick Your Package
  3. Be paired with a Trainer for ongoing training sessions at your preferred day/time. 

Personal training is available to active YMCA members only.

Packages are available in 60-minute increments and are bundled of 4, 8, 12 or 20 sessions. Private and semi-private (two-person) packages are available.

  • For semi-private sessions, both clients must be active YMCA members.
  • We recommend that semi-private clients have similar goals, training ability and schedule availability.
