About the Job

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this position is responsible for performing therapy in a manner that is consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the professional field and the YMCA of San Francisco’s mission. This clinic-based position is responsible for maintaining a caseload of clients both in person and virtually. This includes providing assessment, individual and family counseling, crisis intervention and case management.

With the help of a local consulting agency, our team of community leaders and staff have made accountability and affinity work central to our purpose and believe that the only way forward in building a better workplace reflects the vision of change we want to see in the larger community in working towards racial equity.

Salary Range: $34.50 to $37.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in counseling, psychology or social work OR currently enrolled in a MA program.
  • Current registration with the BBS.
  • At least 1 year post graduate school, working with youth and their families
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting laws.
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in crisis management, collaboration, school services and provision of training
