About the Job
Under the supervision of the Community Resource Center Associate Director, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing attentive and empathic services to our community members experiencing various hardships impacting their livelihoods. Many of our clients are experiencing very difficult hardships, staff must assist with a trauma-informed and client-centered approach even if the majority of their duties are not directly with clients.
Salary range: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
Minimum Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be available Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- 1-2 years administrative experience in the social services field
- Ability to prioritize, learn quickly, problem-solve, work in a fast-paced and busy environment, organization, and work well in a team
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice, including child abuse reporting laws (will be trained upon being hired).
- English/Spanish fluency
- Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to different work sites
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Current YMCA approved CPR and First Aid Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- 22+ years old
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years admin experience in the social services field, case management experience
- English/Spanish fluency plus Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog speaking
