About the Job

The Director of Alternative Education and Employment Services leads the development, execution, and enhancement of programs designed to support various life transitions. This includes helping individuals transition between educational phases, re-engage truant or disconnected young people, and secure employment, as well as aiding in transitioning from homelessness to housing, reintegration from incarceration, and supporting undocumented individuals. This role requires strategic planning, robust leadership, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders such as educational institutions, government bodies, and community organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent professional and community experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in program management, preferably in education, workforce development, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of managing successful teams and projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in policy development or government relations.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in education transition and workforce re-engagement.
