About the Job
Mission YMCA is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to serve as Site Coordinator for Alice Chalmers Preschool: 670 Brunswick St, San Francisco, 94112.
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration of the Mission Y preschool, including supervision of the preschool staff. The Preschool Site Coordinator maintains the program quality and facility to meet all licensing requirements as outlined by the state of California. The Preschool Site Coordinator must maintain positive relationships with the children and families, as well as ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children enrolled in the program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years old
- Must be available Monday – Friday during program hours
- Must be qualified for Site Supervisor permit, or working toward permit qualification
- AA or BA degree in ECE or Child Development
- Related experience: 350+ days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years in a child care site
- Experience developing ECE curriculum
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Experience with MS Word and Excel
- YMCA approved CPR/First Aid certification (can complete upon hiring)
- Provide TB clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafter
- Submit Physical Health Clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafter, including proof of Immunizations for Influenza, Pertussis, and Measles
- Fingerprint background check clearance through Community Care Licensing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a team of staff
- Knowledge of NAEYC, PITC, Anti-Bias Curriculum, Emergent Curriculum and Reggio Emilia
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese
