Adults Presidio Community YMCA
Tennis Membership Addition
The Presidio Community YMCA is the only branch within the YMCA of Greater San Francisco that offers a tennis program and courts. Our courts lie within a beautiful national park with easy access to the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts, and San Francisco Bay. While public courts in San Francisco are hard to book, our courts are far more accessible and offer a more private, tranquil playing experience.
Level up your tennis game!
Get access to our tennis programs today by adding a Tennis Membership to your existing Facility Membership for an additional $53 a household a month.

ADULT Tennis Lessons
Our tennis lessons program offers members elite 1:1 instruction from an instructor, with sessions tailored to your level, goals, and needs. We also offer semi-private or small group lessons if you’d like to learn with a friend!
Feel Better, Get Active
As a popular international sport, playing tennis offers a multitude of health benefits, including a 9.7-year increase in life expectancy and a 56% reduction in cardiovascular risk (with only 3 hours of play per week)! Players are also 20% more likely to report better mental health than in other sports.
Health benefits aside, playing tennis opens opportunities to find a community that pushes you to improve, become your best self, and learn to solve problems independently. Many players participate well into their senior years and develop lifelong friendships on court.
GET STARTED
If you are interested in signing up for tennis lessons, we encourage you to fill out the brief interest form below, and our tennis coordinator will reach out to you within a week to pair you with a coach that best suits your schedule and needs.

No, this is not allowed and against our policy.
The Tennis Membership add-on only applies to every member within a Household membership. For example, if a Dual Household with Kids signs up for the Tennis Membership, the membership applies to everyone in that household. But if that household account also includes a separate Young Adult Membership, the Tennis Membership would not apply to that separate individual membership.
- Everyone using the courts must have an active waiver signed beforehand. All players must be dressed appropriately and demonstrate proper court etiquette.
- Tennis courts may only be used during Y business hours.
- Tennis members are strictly prohibited from sharing codes with non-tennis members. Violations may result in suspension or cancellation of membership
- No music allowed on the courts.
- No pickleball play is allowed on tennis courts. Pickleball is available only at the Letterman Gym & Aquatics Center and the Main Post.
- Courts are not to be used to host parties or other group events.
