Peninsula Family YMCA

Theresa grew up in South San Francisco and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University. Theresa is well-known for her deep connections with community partners and her relationships with staff. Theresa is a tireless advocate for children and families and influences change beyond her work for the Y. When not at the Y, you can find Theresa spending time with her husband, daughter and extended family, hiking, or practicing her archery and boxing skills.

Bill has worked in Youth Development for over 15 years and is passionate about building community within our San Mateo County school sites. In his spare time he loves running, reading, and participating in any outdoor activity.

Carlos is a hardworking and goal-oriented person who joined the Peninsula Family YMCA in 2017. He is committed to his work with the members and his team. He strives to ensure that members feel welcomed and are taken care of. Carlos enjoys spending time with his family, playing fetch with his dog, and is an avid Bay Area sports fan.

Nicolai has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting and contributing to the community. His dedication has been evident through his participation in mission trips, his service as a volunteer firefighter, and his involvement in various community programs. Nic's passion for creating safe and enjoyable pool environments has been a driving force behind his work. Although Nic was born in Bulgaria, he has been a resident of New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the majority of his life, having been adopted at the age of 4. Currently, Nic is pursuing a Master's degree in Organization Development and Change from Penn State University. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in this field. Nic is excited to join the Peninsula Y team and is eager to enhance the organization's DEI programming for youth and families. His commitment to developing inclusive and equitable programs will undoubtedly benefit the organization and the community it serves. In his leisure time, Nic enjoys engaging in a variety of activities, including surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and swimming.
