48th Annual CCHP Lunar New Year – Year of the Horse 4724 – 5K/10K Run/Walk

On Sunday, March 1, the Chinatown YMCA CCHP Lunar New Year Run will give participants a rare opportunity to run through San Francisco Chinatown’s historic (and slightly hilly) streets. 2026 is the Year of the Horse, known for charisma, ambition, and social nature—the perfect symbol for an adventurous and energetic run.

Open-hearted.
Open-minded.
Open to all.

We’re more than a gym or a place to go—we are a place to grow. At the YMCA of Greater San Francisco, we support the full journey of well-being, addressing physical health, mental wellness, social connection and economic opportunity where you can Be Yourself, Belong In Community, Become Your Best.

Deep Roots, Strong Branches

For more than 170 years, the YMCA of Greater San Francisco has stood with individuals and families to help them thrive. Established during the Gold Rush in 1853, we have grown to be one of the area’s largest community service organization serving more than 130,000 people through 15 neighborhood branches, more than 130 program sites, and one residential camp across Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo Counties.

Our mission has remained the same throughout every era: to empower each person’s journey and strengthen the foundations of community.

Group of Diverse Multiethnic People Teamwork.

Whole-Person Health, Whole-Community Impact

The Y works to strengthen the communities we serve, helping people experience personal wellness, along with a collective sense of power and purpose. This means working towards cultivating a sense of belonging, access, safety, and support for all. Together, we’re building communities where people feel connected to one another and know they’re not alone.

You Inspire Us

Every neighborhood Y strives to reflect the needs and values of the people it serves. We listen. We respond. You, your family, and your friends and neighbors help shape the programs and services available at your local Y.
