MYEEP Mayor's Youth Employment and Education
Ages 14-17 Buchanan YMCAThe Mayor’s Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP) is a teen workforce development program. San Francisco youth between the ages of 14- 17 are employed and engage in job readiness training, youth development workshops, educational activities, and personal development opportunities.
In addition to work experience, the program supports youth as they transition towards successful adulthood by strengthening their understanding of the connection between employment and education and the responsibility of adults to contribute positively to society.

The Buchanan YMCA is a collaborative member of MYEEP, a program housed by the Japanese Community Youth Council, and funded by the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families.
Program Benefits
MYEEP prepares youth for their internships through a series of training workshops. During these workshops, youth will build competencies and skills so they will have the ability to thrive in the workplace.

Schedule and Eligibility
- Program Duration: School Year & Summer Schedule runs from October – April
- 8 hours a week internship (January – April)
- Applications due the first week of September of the program year.
SUMMER SCHEDULE
- Program runs from June – August 20 hours a week internship (June – August)
- Applications due the first week in April of the program year.
