In-Person Race Day: April 27, 2025
Virtual Race: April 20-27, 2025
Benefiting the under resourced communities of San Francisco through increased access to academic, social, and wellness services.
The Presidio Y is hosting its 13th annual Presidio Trail 10k/5k/1.5 mile on Sunday April 27, 2025. With spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay and the nation’s only urban national park, this unique and challenging trail run winds its way through the Presidio of San Francisco, past Inspiration Point, the Presidio Golf Course, Rob Hill Campground and more.
AMAZING VIEWS. ALL TRAIL. PRESIDIO TRAILS.
Proceeds from the Presidio Trail Run support the Presidio YMCA’s community programs. At the Presidio Y strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side by side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to improve their lives and their community.
Individuals must have their registration completed by 5pm on April 25th to ensure their spot as a race participant.
Register using the link below. Please also sign the liability waiver.
In our continued effort to make our race accessible to all, we are pleased to offer a Virtual Run option for those who wish to participate but cannot join us physically in the Presidio. The virtual run will take place from April 20-27, 2025, and allows you to run at a location of your choice while still being an integral part of our community.
Please note that, for the first time in 2025, we will be charging $10 to ship race shirts to virtual race participants. This is being done in order to cover mailing costs and ensure the highest percentage of proceeds possible go to benefit the community.
Participant packets will be mailed by April 14, 2024. While running in your chosen location, we encourage you to share photographs of your experience on our Presidio Y social media channels. Please tag us and enjoy your race! This is completely optional and will help in connecting all participants and celebrating our collective achievement.
Whether near or far, your participation is what truly brings our event to life. We look forward to sharing this experience with you, both in the Presidio and across the globe!
T-shirts and bibs may be picked up on race morning at the Presidio YMCA from 7:00-8:15am. You will receive an email from the race timing company on April 25th which includes your race number. Please have that race number ready to share at bib pick-up.
T-shirts can be picked up at the YMCA in advance of the race Thursday-Saturday from 7am-6pm.
You may opt to have your shirt shipped to you for a fee. For registrants who choose this option, we are expecting shirts to be shipped out around April 14th.
Please email Syren Jordan at djo[email protected] if you need to make adjustments to your t-shirt order.
In light of this event being a race benefiting the Y of San Francisco’s essential services: OST (Out of School Time) programs to support academic success and promote healthy development, targeted workforce development strategies to address unemployment and underemployment, food pantries for those struggling with food insecurity, and healthy indoor and outdoor programs for all members of our community, refunds will not be given.
For questions about how to participate or support these programs, please email Sean Dries at [email protected].
The Presidio offers several parking lots to serve Presidio visitors around the YMCA and the Main Post. We encourage attendees to carpool, walk, or bike to the park as well. Visit SF Muni’s website to plan your trip or check out the Presidio Trust’s PresidiGo shuttle schedule.
Parking is regulated in the Presidio seven days a week. The cost ranges between $2.50 to $3 per hour and between $12.50 to $15/day. ACE Parking issues parking violations to vehicles that have not purchased parking or have exceeded time limits. This map shows the prices of parking by area.

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Now, more than ever, our community needs your support. Since March 17, 2020, the Y of San Francisco has been on the ground offering critical resources to our community.
The Y serves those who struggle with food insecurity by providing more than 7,000 individuals and families each month with food pantries throughout San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties through our partnership with the SF-Marin Food Bank.
The Y is embedded in the communities that have been among the hardest hit by unemployment and inequality. We address unemployment and underemployment through targeted workforce development strategies including skills building, job readiness training, and job placements.
The Y’s before and after school programs support a child’s academic success and promote healthy physical, emotional, and social development.
The Y of San Francisco believes that time spent outdoors helps us to be our healthiest, best selves. We continue to provide healthy outdoor opportunities for all members of our communities through: tennis, outdoor wellness windows, outdoor personal training, YRangers camp, outdoor wellness hikes, bike rides, runs, and group exercise programs.
We’re looking for over 100 enthusiastic volunteers to join us for a day full of fun and community spirit at the Presidio Trail Run in San Francisco, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals, groups, and communities to come together and make a difference. Spread the word to your friends and family – let’s create a memorable experience for everyone involved! For questions or more information, please contact Syren Jordan at [email protected].
