As an organization committed to positive youth development, our before and afterschool programs support your child's academic success and promote healthy physical, emotional, and social development.
The program's curriculum is designed to expose youth to a wide variety of activities, improve critical thinking skills, develop leadership, build character and confidence, and to improve overall health and wellness.
Activities include: homework help, team sports, nutrition and cooking classes, arts, academic enrichments and more!

We are a YMCA licensed youth development program serving students at Chinese Immersion School at De Avila.
More Information
At the Y, we believe that values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. Our programs implement five key youth development practices: promote a sense of safety, encourage relationship building, foster meaningful youth participation, provide opportunities for community involvement, and create challenges and engage learning experiences that help youth build skills.
Our staff is highly trained to carry through these five key principles in our programs, offering a rich environment so children can explore and develop their interests and talents. We invest in the health and well-being of each child by providing healthy snacks and promoting physical activity. We support HEPA standards (Healthy Eating Physical Activity) by offering enrichment experiences for youth to gain knowledge/understanding of healthy food choices, so they experience a healthy mind and body.
