New Beginnings by the Bay

Latest Updates on Dogpatch Y

We’re absolutely thrilled about our soon-to-be-open Dogpatch Y at Crane Cove – our newest facility in 30 years. As a part of our 2030 Vision to build strong communities where anyone can Be, Belong, Become, Dogpatch YMCA at Crane Cove will bridge diverse communities along the San Francisco Bay, from Bayview Hunters Point to Embarcadero to Mission Bay, and create opportunities for physical and mental wellness, environmental stewardship, and economic success.

For All Generations

As a part of a huge revitalization project for the Bay, the San Francisco Parks Alliance and San Francisco Port partnered together to engage in a fundraising campaign to complete the reimagined and redeveloped Crane Cove Park. Community outreach was initially conducted from 2011-2017 and as the surrounding communities changed and grew, SF Port ensured to uplift the communities’ input, feedback, and needs as to what they saw and wanted the space as. Ultimately, when it came to the facility, the communities requested that a community-focused nonprofit to be involved.

Where Wellness Meets Community

Dogpatch YMCA at Crane Cove will have many on-site programs and services including:

· A state-of-the-art wellness center including a Rest and Recovery space
· Gender-neutral restrooms
· Locker room with showers
· Weekly group exercise classes with Outdoor access

· Access to all other YMCA facilities in the city and nationwide
