Congratulations!  You've taken the first step towards becoming a Presidio Community YMCA Staff or Volunteer. Not only is the Presidio Community YMCA is a wonderful place to workout, ...it is a wonderful place to volunteer and work.


Current Employment Positions:

Aquatics -

  • Lifeguards (PT/Hourly)
  • Swim Instructors (PT/Hourly)
 

Community Outreach -

  • Bike Program - Lead Staff (PT/Hourly)
 

Health & Fitness -

  • Wellness Coach (On Call)
  • Personal Trainer (PT/Hourly)

Group Exercise -

Instructors (PT/Hourly) for the following Class Formats:

  • Kickboxing
  • Strength & Conditioning - experience with: TRX, BOSU & Gliding.
  • Step (weekdays mid-mornings)
  • Pre/Post-natal Fitness (mid morning, late afternoon & weekends)

How do I apply for a position?

    • Pick up an application at any YMCA Membership Desk
    • Download the PDF file:  YMCA of San Francisco Application
    • call 415-447-9622 and we'll mail one to you
    • You can also fax or send a resume with a cover letter attached.

    The cover letter should include the position that you are applying for and why you think that you are qualified for the position. Please include whether you are interested in part-time or full-time and what days you are available to work.

    • Once we receive your application, we will call in within two weeks to follow-up with a phone screening interview.
    • When we have found a volunteer position that fits your interest, we will go through a thorough screening process which includes a background check and references.
    • Once we have completed the screening process, your information will be forwarded to the supervisor that you will be working with and your first day to volunteer will be arranged.
