Teen Center & Clubs
We gather together to create an environment that allows teenagers to safely explore their interests. We grow and build the teens in Teen Center by developing their skills to become and accomplish.We give back, time and time again, because through service we honor our legacy and build our future leaders. We make things happen.
Teen Center Drop-In Hours:
Only teens enrolled in a teen programs that occur throughout the week are allowed to use teen center during drop in hours.
Teen Club: SOMANYDYNAMOS
The SOMANYDYNAMOS are the teen leadership group that represents our Chinatown YMCA teen population. From planning teen events, to community volunteering, to hosting monthly activities for other youths in the Community Center, to providing a teen voice, the SOMANYDYNAMOS does it all! It is made up of a representative of each club, as well as anyone who is interested building and strengthening the Chinatown YMCA’s community of teens.
Dates and Times: Tuesdays 4:30pm-6:00pm

Teen Club: ToFu
ToFu, our resident community service group whose service focuses on meeting the needs of the Community Center. Learn with your friends what it means to directly impact our community through service events for our Community Center, as well as broadening your volunteers opportunities to the Chinatown and San Francisco Community. Be the change and live the Chinatown YMCA legacy ToFu style!
Fun and Fitness: Friday Night Hangout
Friday night and the living is all right, here at the Chinatown YMCA. Signing up for Friday Night Hang Out with our community friends, Community Youth Center (CYC), gives you entry into the multitude of teen activities offered Friday nights! You’ve got your choice of: Cooking Class, Hip-Hop, Basketball, and Volleyball, to play the night away!
Fun and Fitness: Pick-Up Basketball
Shoot around, play pick-up with other teens, meet new people! Be a part of our pick-up league just for teens like you. We will have a Fall and Spring tournament, so be ready to ball it up!
Fun and Fitness: W.O.W. (Work Out Wednesdays)
Learn the fundamentals of fitness, all the while training with your friends. Whatever the sport, it’s fun to be fit! We’ll work out each Wednesday, pushing our limits, strengthening our minds, and our friendships.
