Everyone belongs at the YMCA
The YMCA is a membership organization open to all people. The YMCA welcomes women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation, abilities and financial circumstances. Programs and branches embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the communities they serve. Financial assistance, to the extent possible, is available for those in need.
Chinatown YMCA Membership Options
As a full-facility member of the YMCA, you will have access to a variety of programs, services and activities for people of all ages and abilities. A Facility Membership includes use of the entire facility including group exercise classes and the pool.
Facility membership rates are based on our Membership for All Plan. Membership for All is a sliding-scale rate structure based on gross annual household income that is designed for people of all income levels to have access the YMCA and its facilities. Starting on Saturday, March 2, 2012, the Chinatown YMCA will replace the existing financial assistance program with Membership for All.
A big part of the YMCA’s founding mission was to improve the spirit, mind and body for all. “For all” reflects our commitment to being an inclusive place, including all those who wish to grow and enrich themselves by participating in YMCA programs and activities, regardless of their circumstances in life. The Membership-for-All program will ensure that a YMCA membership is accessible and available to anyone in need.
The YMCA is a membership organization. In order to participate in any of our programs you will need to have either a Facility or Program Membership. Program Memberships allow non-facility members access to register for our programs and activities. This is an annual membership.
