All proceeds benefit the Buchanan YMCA and its programs that serve the
diverse youth and families of the Western Addition and surrounding
neighborhoods. Through programs such as enrichment activities, recreational
activities, mentoring, tutoring, nutrition, and health & wellness activities
the Buchanan YMCA impacts the lives of over 1,000 families a day. Only
through the generous donations of others are we able to continue our mission
of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
Additionally, the YMCA addresses specific community issues through a variety of
programs provided at no cost or with substantial subsidies. Your generous donation will help fund youth programs such as the Western Addition Safe Haven , New Traditions AM/ PM licensed childcare, the Western Addition Beacon Center and Hayward Playground Rec Connect. Your donations will also help to provide financial assistance to members who could not utilize our services without a little help.
- A gift of $500 provides books, supplies (art and music) and computer programs for our centers
- A gift of $250 provides training for a youth mentor
- A gift of $175 provides financial assistance for one youth to attend camp
- A gift of $50 provides financial assistance for health and wellness memberships for seniors

| Memorialize or Honor a Special Occasion |

You can honor the memory of a deceased loved one or friend or celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special event with your donation. A card is sent to your honoree or the family of the deceased acknowledging your gift.

Matching Gifts
|

Many employers match their employees’ gifts, often doubling or tripling the amount realized to continue our mission. Typically, you obtain and complete the appropriate match form from your company and turn it over to the YMCA to finish the matching gifts process.
