Stonestown Family YMCA offers licensed After School programs at
three
schools in our service area:
Commodore Sloat, at 50 Darien
Way, serving k-5th grade
Sunset Elementary, at 1920 41st Ave., serving k-5th grade
Dianne Feinstein , at 2550 25th Ave., serving K-4th grade
Jose Ortega, at 400 Sergeant Street., serving K-5th grade

Programs will begin on August 27th, and CLOSE on June 11th. We provide full day programs for many school holidays, please refer to the camping section for dates and times.
These
licensed facilities are run by staff well-versed in Early Childhood
Education, CPR and First Aid. We offer nutritious snacks everyday,
as well as tutoring, arts and crafts, group games, values building,
field trips and community service projects. Our ratio of staff to children is
1 to 12. We are open every school day until 6:30PM.
We offer three attendance options: 5 days a week, 3 days a week and 2 days a week.
A once a year program membership fee of $50 is required for your child to participate.
A two-week deposit is required at the time of enrollment, the deposit covers the last two weeks of the program.

The Stonestown Family YMCA provides free after school programs through collaborations with seven school communities, federal funding, and the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families. We serve the following school communities:

Preschool Registration is CLOSED for both Summer 2008 and our 2008-2009 School Year.

Welcome to the Stonestown Family YMCA preschool!
We offer year-round programming with both school year and summer preschool programming options. All of our programs meet stringent standards of excellence. Our preschool site is licensed by the State of California Community Care Licensing through the Department of Social Services and has received accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
We strive for greatness to provide your child with a safe, fun environment in which to learn and grow. Our staff are trained both in Early Childhood Education as well as in the Youth Development philosophy of the YMCA, and are ready to provide your child with the foundation needed for a successful school career!

AGES & STAGES
Children 2.5 years old through 5 years old are accepted at the YMCA Preschool. All children must be toilet trained.
KOALA’s: Our Koala room is for children ages 2.5 to 3.5 years old. Focus is on helping the children with group socialization. 1: 6 ratio
PANDA’s: Our Panda room is for children ages 3.5 – 5 years old. Focus is on kindergarten readiness and language development.
1:8 ratio
All children are individually assessed twice a year using the nationally recognized Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP).

Full Time 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
Half Time 7:00 am – 12:30 pm
Three day or five day a week schedules are available for both full and half time students.

YMCA membership and programs are open to everyone. To the extent possible, financial assistance is made available to those in need, so they are not excluded from YMCA programs. To apply for a scholarship please fill out the financial aid form (available above)and submit it along with a copy of your most recent tax return to Emily Formosa.

Child Watch

Baby-sitting services are available for children (ages 12 weeks through 10
years) of adults participating in programs at this YMCA. Parent must be on
premises. The maximum hours for children of 12 weeks to 15 months is 1 1/2 hour and for children 15 months and over is 2 hours per day. Members may visit Child Watch only once per day. Payment for ChildWatch is at the courtesy counter.
Child Watch Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm & 4:00pm-7:30pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00am-1:30pm & 4:00-7:30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am-12:30pm
Child Watch is closed on most holidays, please check our branch brochure for
upcoming closures.
Staff-Child Ratio:
We maintain a 1 to 4 ratio for children over 18 months. Our infant ratio is 1
to 1. Child Watch capacity varies according to needs of the room

Payment Options:
Monthly Payments:
$40 per month for one child
$10 additional for second child
$5 for each additional child
Hourly Payments:
$3 per half hour/per child
Punch Card:
$60 for 20 1/2 hour increments

Reservation:
In order to provide a safe, caring environment, we accept children on a
first come-first served basis for children over 15 months old. Reservations are
REQUIRED for infants 8 weeks-15 months. Reservations are taken up to one
day notice prior to reservation. We require a courtesy call for cancellations

Cancellations
Members not giving one hours notice for cancelling, or members who do not show up, will be charged a penalty fee. (see parent handbook). Fee must be paid in Child Watch prior to making future reservations.
