Located in the southwest quadrant of San Francisco, the Stonestown Family YMCA has been serving our community since 1954.  We primarily service the neighborhoods of the outer and inner Sunset, west of Twin Peaks, Ocean-Merced-Ingelside Terraces, Merced Manor, as well as the cities of Daly City and Pacifica to the south. Committed to a total wellness approach to living, we have programs and services that attend to one's spirit, mind and body. We work at embodying and incorporating the values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring into all our programs and services.

As a full facility YMCA, the Stonestown YMCA has a 25-meter pool, a personal fitness room, a strength and conditioning room, a full double court gym, Child Watch services for our members, and a senior center across the street. We offer offsite childcare and preschool programs. In collaboration with the city of Pacifica, we support the Pacifica Youth Services Bureau - a mental health counseling facility offering services to youth and families. We operate an afterschool teen center at neighboring Aptos Middle School.

The Stonestown Family YMCA has been an active collaborator and participant in creating a better life for San Franciscans. In the true model of the YMCA, here at Stonestown the spirit, mind and body of the individual are treated as one. We care not only about the physical well-being of our members, but also their emotional, spiritual and social well-being.  Classes in nutrition, stroke rehabilitation, stress management, yoga, t'ai chi, Feldenkrais, personal fitness and personal wellness exemplify the richness and diversity of the programming offered at the Stonestown Family YMCA.

Stonestown Family YMCA is dedicated to providing programs and services that build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

There are no barriers to joining the YMCA, with no joining fee and financial assistance available for those who qualify.
