Presidio Community YMCA by the numbers:
8,400+ children from across the city will be served through our outreach and afterschool programs this year alone.
840 youth participated in our youth basketball leagues in the winter of 2009.
250 students visited the Presidio in the spring of 2009 through our pilot 4th Grade Field Trip program.
1: We are the only nonprofit community center in the Presidio where no one is turned away due to inability to pay for programs and services.
Our members have not been immune from the recession.
This year, we have provided $28,000 to 177 people to remain active members at our YMCA when their finances could no longer support a membership at full cost.
Those who have lost their jobs have been able to maintain their health and well-being during stressful times through the generous support of our donors.
