Volunteering is a gift you give to yourself. Volunteering to help someone else makes you feel good.
Here at the Peninsula Family YMCA, we have something for everyone. You can volunteer based on the time best suited to your lifestyle.

Community Support Campaign
Each spring, through our Community Support Campaign, we are given the opportunity to share with people information about the critically important programs and services we provide to our community, regardless of ability to pay. More than 160 volunteers help raise money during this annual event to fund YMCA intervention and counseling programs such as NPFA, Project FOCYS, T.E.A.C.H. and Building Futures. In addition, these monies allow us to provide financial assistance and scholarships to less fortunate children so that they may participate in our sports, day camp and child care programs. However, all of this would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers.
Our campaign volunteers come from many different backgrounds, but they all have one purpose in common, helping others. Be assured that all funds raised by our volunteers, without exception, go directly to programs that enhance lives.
Time commitment as a campaign volunteer includes a 1-hour training session and 1-4 hours of volunteer support each week during the 5-week campaign. If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of others, please call the YMCA at (650)286.9622 for information on how to become a campaign volunteer.
