ALERT:  Preschool for All is now available for ALL residents of San Francisco.  This means that if you have a four year old (on or before December 2nd, 2007) you are eligible for FREE PRESCHOOL at our Licensed and Accredited Facility from 8:30am to 12:00pm.  All day preschooling (7:00am to 6:30pm) is also available for an additional $480/month.  Find out more below.
  
  

PRESCHOOL: AGES 2-5 YEARS OLD

Realizing the importance of each step in a child's learning experiences, our programs encourage physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. We believe in focusing on each child individually and tailor our curriculum accordingly.

We're also proud to be accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), and recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards. NAEYC Accreditation lets families in our community know that children in our program are getting the best care and early learning experiences and absolutely reinforces our mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities beginning with our youngest children.

Fees are as follows:

2 Days (Tuesday, Thursday) $425/ Month, $200 Deposit
3 Days (Mon, Wed, Fri) $556/ Month, $200 Deposit
5 Days (Mon- Fri) $695/ Month, $200 Deposit

We have Spanish, English, and Arabic speaking staff on-site.

All children must be potty trained to attend Mission YMCA preschool.

PRESCHOOL FOR ALL - FREE PRESCHOOL FOR 4 YEAR OLDS

First Five San Francisco in partnership with Wu Yee Children's Services has selected the Mission YMCA as a Preschool For All (PFA) site. 

Requirements:

• Children must be four (4) years old on or before December 2nd, 2008.
• PFA hours are from 8:30am to 12:00pm.
• "Wrap-around care" (before and after preschool care) is available for an additional fee (approx. $480/month).
• Full day preschool hours are from 7:00am to 6:30pm.

SCHOOL AGE AFTERSCHOOL CHILD CARE - KINDER TO 5TH GRADE
  

The Mission YMCA provides quality, affordable after school hours - school age child care for children and youth attending elementary and middle schools in the Mission, Excelsior, Bernal Heights, Glen Park, Sunnyside, and Noe Valley neighborhoods. We have a limited capacity to provide transportation for children who attend elementary schools within our immediate service area.

We provide a nutritious snack and a well-rounded curriculum that is designed to challenge and entertain your children and help them realize their full potential. Homework assistance is provided each afternoon, Monday through Thursday.

Pick Up Locations:

We current offer a free school bus pickup shuttle from Hillcrest, Guadalupe, Glen Park, Cesar Chavez, and Sunnyside.  We can offer pickup to any school in our service area, but there must be at least two students from each school attending Mission YMCA After School Programs.

EXCEL AFTERSCHOOL CHILD CARE

The Mission YMCA, in collaboration with SFUSD, operates four ExCEL after school sites. Enrollment in ExCEL programs is limited to students attending the school where the program is located and eligibility is determined by the school itself.  Our EXCEL sites are located at Visitation Valley Elemetary and Monore Elementary.  Please visit our Community Outreach page for more information.
