For those who are looking for the benefits of Yoga but are not able to join a mainstream class. This gentle yet challenging class is for those recovering from injuries as well as those with long term physical challenges. Yoga Therapy for Individuals with Parkinson's
Learn tools to help cope with the challenges of Parkinson's disease such as gentle stretch, breath control, and meditation. Yoga has shown to be helpful by increasing energy, reducing stress, improving sleep, and reducing stiffness. Caregivers are welcome to join the class and support their clients/loved ones. PHASE III
A comprehensive program designed to assist the heart patient in reaching optimal physical and psychological health and to prevent the progression of underlying disease.
The five part program consists of a safe, supervised, and progressive exercise class, risk factor education, stress reduction, individualized reviews and group support.
Supervised by Exercise Physiologists and Registered nurses who will work with you to create your individualized exercise and risk factor modification plan. Confidence, renewed strength and energy return as you exercise with fellow members and share similar experiences.
PHASE IV
An advanced exercise program for Phase III graduates and other moderate risk heart patients. Designed for people who wish to work independently to continue imporoving their cardiovascular condition and overall health.
Components include counsel and reviews with a registered Nurse or Exercise Physiologist regarding exercise program development and progression, risk factor education, individualized reviews and group support.
