General Camp Information

Exciting activities and adventures await campers. We are confident that both you and the campers will be very pleased with the YMCA day camp experience. The goal each day of spring camp is to allow young campers to discover hidden talent, gain self-esteem and acquire new skills in a safe and fun environment.

Embarcadero YMCA day camp programs are American Camping Association accredited and uphold the YMCA National Day Camp standards.

Camps are divided into weekly sessions and operate from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Extended camp hours (drop-off & pick-up) are 7:30am to 9:00am and from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. Drop off and pick up for all camps will be at the Embarcadero YMCA.

Embarcadero YMCA Day Camps enable youth and teens in grades K-12 to participate in a wide variety of experiences that challenge them physically and creatively. Accredited by the American Camping Association, our Day Camps are designed to help young people develop self-worth through a process of meeting challenges under the guidance of carefully selected, experienced staff. Please register your child in the camp that corresponds to the grade he or she is attending in the fall. There will be four groups for Summer Camp (Pioneers grades K-1, Adventurers grades 2-3, Explorers grades 4-5 and Moving On grades 6-8) Our Counselor -In-Training Program is for high school aged youth (grades 9 - 12). Activities include Bay Area field trips, sports, arts, and more.
